Welcome to the Carrigallen GAA Club website. Founded in 1889 as the Carrigallen Mandevilles, the club is located in the South East of County Leitrim, between the borders of Cavan and Longford. Our club caters for players at all age levels from U-8 to Senior in gaelic football. We currently have both a Senior and Junior team playing in Division 1 and Division 4 of the Leitrim Leagues complemented by a very active and successful underage structure.

We have a long and distinguished history having won many honours including two Intermediate titles in 1991 & 2006 and we are proud to have provided many players to the Leitrim Senior and underage panels. The club, as always, welcomes new members, both in a playing, coaching or team-assistance capacity. Furthermore, if you wish to make contributions to this website in terms of match reports or photographs, your input will be appreciated.

Club of the Year

Congratulations to all, espicially the Park Committee on Winning Club Grounds of the year, at the Leitrim County Board Awards recently. Eamon Quinn and John O Reilly collected the award on behalf of the club. Good luck to the club who now go forward to the Connaught Club Awards in Castlebar on February 17th.

Operation Transformation

Registration next Saturday in club rooms at 11:00am followed by walk at 12noon. This is a six week health and fitness programme run by Leitrim Sports Partnership suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The idea is similar to the TV programme where people work in teams of ten and their goal is to lose weight and improve fitness levels in a fun environment.

There will be organised group sessions during the week but each individual team are encouraged to participate in their own group exercise during the week. The weekly timetable for organised events will be as follows: Ladies aerobics and pilates followed by weekly weigh-in on Wednesday nights in Community Centre from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. Men’s fitness and core program will be followed by weekly weigh-in on Thursday nights in Community Centre from 8:00pm – 9:00pm. Boot camp will take place in football pitch on Saturday mornings from 10:00am – 11:00am. Walk every Sunday leaving park grounds at 3:00pm.
